Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Probably when I was 15 or 16 I believe. It was the first Thanksgiving it was more than just my immediate family. We had a neighbor family come over in addition to some extended family come to town for the holiday weekend. It was great to have everyone there together. A bit hectic, but a great time.

It was the year after my mom had passed, my gram was gone… i was worried that my daughter would never know true family Thanksgivings. My aunt came up to spend the holiday with us. My mom was her sister and best friend, and she was hurting as well. We were in the kitchen preparing everything, and suddenly she started singing and dancing around the kitchen. My daughter and I joined and we were laughing and dancing. We spent the night before the holiday playing games and watching movies. and it proved to me that it isnt the number of people, but the people themselves. We had our family and it was great.
