We love to go room by room one room each day and steam clean the rugs, take down curtains clean the windows, clean out drawers etc. We don’t stop until that one room is done. We donate stuff we don’t use etc. Then the next day, we do another room.
This year, we will be moving into a new place, so we will clean the new place top to bottom and then just move in.

My favorite way is to delegate tasks to everyone else so I can do other things, like watch TV. In reality what actually happens is that we clean all year round so there will not be a long list of chores when spring finally rolls around.

I do one room at a time, throw out things I no longer use or give it to the thrift shop, or even have a yard sale. I also love to paint so at least one or two rooms are painted each year to give the room a fresh look. I change up curtains, bedding, and pillows to brighten up the rooms after spring cleaning so it looks more spring looking.
